Auditions for this fall’s “Don’t Dress for Dinner”!

Auditions for the 2015 Playgoers dinner theatre production of
Don’t Dress for Dinner
July 18th from 1:00-2:30 p.m. and July 21st from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
at the North Side Save-On-Foods Community Room

Playgoers’ Fall dinner theatre production Don’t Dress for Dinner runs October 20-24, 2015, directed by Monique Prusky.

Auditions will be held Saturday, July 18 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. and Tuesday, July 21 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the North side Save-on-Foods. There is no need to prepare a piece for auditions but please dress comfortably as you may be asked to move as well as read. Monique is looking for 6 actors: 3 male and 3 female, ranging from 20s-early 40s. Tomfoolery will occur, so your mobility must not be restricted. Rehearsals will begin in mid-to-late August.

Synopsis:
Bernard is planning a romantic weekend with his chic Parisian mistress in his charming converted French farmhouse, whilst his wife, Jacqueline, is away. He has arranged for a Cordon Bleu cook to prepare gourmet delights, and has invited his best friend, Robert, along too to provide the alibi. It’s foolproof; what could possibly go wrong? Well…. suppose Robert turns up not realizing quite why he has been invited. Suppose Robert and Jacqueline are secret lovers, and consequently determined that Jacqueline will NOT leave for the weekend. Suppose the cook has to pretend to be the mistress and the mistress is unable to cook. Suppose everyone’s alibi gets confused with everyone else’s. An evening of hilarious confusion ensues as Bernard and Robert improvise at breakneck speed.

If you are interested in auditioning or being involved in any other capacity, please come out, or email Monique at mdprusky@gmail.com.
